Methodology
This page explains how I produce the generators and educational copy on Docuklin, what the tools leave out, and how I correct mistakes. Maintained by Hammad Iqbal.
Sources policy
Tool pages cite primary public sources relevant to the document type—for example IRS pages on independent contractors and recordkeeping, Cornell LII Wex/CFR definitions, SBA small-business guides, HUD fair-housing and rental pages, CDC infection-control overviews, the U.S. Copyright Office’s photographer materials, and FTC small-business / endorsement guidance. I link the final URL I checked. I do not invent statutes or pretend a page was attorney-reviewed.
Each tool’s Sources list says what the citation is used for and the date I last checked it. “Last reviewed” on a page changes only when the formula, sources, or substantive text actually change—not to look fresh.
What the tools leave out
- Jurisdiction-specific statutory language (state landlord-tenant codes, local tattoo regs, etc.).
- Tax advice, filing obligations, or employer/contractor classification determinations.
- Attorney review, notarization, e-sign compliance, or enforceability guarantees.
- Server-side storage of your filled documents—exports stay on your device.
How a generator works
- Sample defaults render in the HTML as a static preview (indexable, useful before JavaScript).
- The interactive editor loads on demand; validation and live preview run in your browser.
- PDF/DOCX engines load only when you export.
- Optional drafts use
localStorageunder a per-tool key—never uploaded to our servers.
AI / automation disclosure
Drafts may be written with AI assistance. Every formula, sample default, and reference link is checked by Hammad Iqbal against the sources listed on each page before publication.
